Using Zotero Plug-in to Cite in Microsoft Word

Go to Microsoft Word Integration to install the Zotero plug-in to Microsoft Word.  An automatic installer can be downloaded from Download Windows Installer (119KB, English only). The installer supports Windows 2000, XP and Vista and Word 2000 and up.

 

In Word 2007, click on Add-Ins button the Zotero toolbar appears as,

 

 

In Word 2003, the Zotero toolbar appears,

 

 

inserts citation

edits citation

inserts bibliography

edits bibliography

is the Zotero refresh button

sets document preference

 

Click Citation Style window pop up,

 

 

Select the citation style and then click OK button, a pop up window let you select an item to insert.

 

 

Select the item you would like to cite and press the OK button, the citation in inserted in the document like,

 

 

Click icon, the bibliography is generated,
